JOB SUMMARY:

This Manager, Event Services is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of event production for third-party arena events, including but not limited to concerts, comedy shows, family shows, NCAA tournaments, etc. Additional responsibilities include support of Cleveland Cavaliers basketball games, Cleveland Monsters hockey games and banquet events, as well as future support of Cleveland Sirens (WNBA) basketball games in 2028 and beyond.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the planning, coordination and execution of third party events as assigned.Coordinate all event production, including stage builds, rigging review, labor calls, power requirements, etc. Ensure all union requirements are met and communicated clearly with event promoters and clients.Prepare CAD drawings and obtain fire marshal approval for events in the arena bowl. Collaborate with the Ticket Lab to ensure event scaling maps are built to tour specifications, and ticket revenue is maximized.Ensure event permits are secured and inspections are scheduled as necessary.Update Momentus Elite (event management software) with event details; generate event documents and distribute to internal and external stakeholders.Maintain accurate accounting of third party event expenses and invoices.Serve as the venue point of contact for third party events as assigned, providing on-site support at the start of load-in until load-out.Compile post-event notes and follow-up on critical action items.Supervise the Booking & Events Seasonal Assistant; provide any necessary coaching and training.Provide support for Cleveland Cavaliers basketball games, Cleveland Monsters hockey games, and Cleveland Sirens (future WNBA franchise) basketball games as needed. Complete game day walkthroughs of the playing surface, back of house spaces, banquet rooms, and public areas.Additional duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably from the professional sports industry or a comparable large-scale entertainment venue.Strong understanding of events and facility operations of a similar scope and scale. Previous venue management (arena / stadium) experience required.Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Working knowledge of AutoCAD software strongly preferred.Previous management experience preferred.Must have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.Flexible work hours required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and long / irregular shifts.Must be adaptable to the ever-changing nature of live events, maintaining composure and positive demeanor.Must be highly organized and able to maintain multiple projects at once.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
