Manager, Events and Operations

Supervises and directs the facility operations team, including assigned crew leaders, laborers, or temporary/seasonal staff; develops bi-weekly work schedules, executes onboarding procedures, and monitors employee performance to ensure operational coverage and efficiency.Manages and coordinates venue changeovers and conversions; collaborates with event management to review upcoming logistical needs, and directs operations staff to ensure the facility is properly reset, maintained, and ready for guest activations.Monitors and maintains the venue spaces to ensure cleanliness, correct set-up, and the mitigation of any fire hazards or safety risks; controls inventory levels, anticipates supply needs, and oversees the general condition of the facility.Manages event dates as the designated manager on duty in alignment with a rotating schedule; supervises all working staff related to the event, acts as a point of contact for clients and contractors, and coordinates day-of-show logistics.Resolves on-site issues and emergencies during events; communicates effectively with impacted departments, external agencies, and safety personnel to ensure a safe environment for guests, staff, and contractors.Executes onboarding, training, and ongoing check-ins for the operations staff; assists with broader facility safety and customer service training to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.Administers and monitors occasional event operational budgets based on client contracts and estimates; reviews and proposes necessary operational projects, upgrades, or enhancements to the facility. QualificationsRequiredAssociate's Degree in Event Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years of experience in event or facility operations management that includes supervising staff; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (such as a High School diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience) which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.Possess or be able to obtain First Aid and CPR certification within six (6) months of hire.Possess or be able to obtain Certified Crowd Manager certificate within six (6) months of hire.
