This role is responsible for orchestrating the executive event experience, owning end-to-end delivery, acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders, and coordinating across internal teams and external partners to ensure every detail reflects AEP’s standards and brand. Work in partnership with the Office of the Corporate Secretary to design and deliver high-touch, concierge-level experiences for Board of Directors meetings.Work closely with the Corporate Special Projects and Events Planner on executive and leadership meetings and programs, as well as other events as they arise.Build and manage detailed meeting timelines and executive briefing materials.Anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues to ensure a seamless experience. Lead planning and execution of Board meetings and support other executive and leadership engagements.Develop and manage comprehensive timelines and work plans.Oversee event logistics, including vendor management, venues, catering, transportation, audiovisual, security, and IT.Lead site selection and advance work with internal and external partners. Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.8+ years of experience in corporate event planning, with direct experience supporting executive leadership or Board-level events.Proven ability to manage complex, high-visibility events from concept through execution of varying formats and sizes (from 50 to 150+ attendees).Experience operating as a lead planner or single owner for executive events preferred.Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.Exceptional project management and organizational skills.Comfortable working with senior leadership.High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism.Expertise in vendor management, contracts, and budget oversight.Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
