In support of the annual event budget and planning goals, the Manager will oversee event registration, logistics and sponsorship fulfillment. In coordination with the Manager, Digital Strategy, the Manager will assist in developing strategic campaigns, email outreach and highlights to engage students... transportation practitioners, private and public organizations to support COMTO events. Along with Executive Leadership, the Manager will oversee the work of COMTO’s contracted event planning support team. • Work with Leadership & contracted event planning firm to execute COMTO events • Activate event website and related webpages on Your Membership and CVENT • Manage registration platform on Your Membership and event app on CVENT • Work across departments to support event related logistics and planning goals • Manage event related data collection, analysis, and reporting, track activities and milestones • Manage event sponsorship fulfilment, marketing, registration and exhibit benefits • Manage internal event planning logistics, and tracking of event budget v/s actual • Support event sponsorship outreach and letters of invitation for VIP’s • Support Manager, Digital Strategy on creation of event collateral & promotional materials • Support NextGEN Programs on logistics for event related travel and awards • Support NextGEN Programs with scholarship & internship attendees at annual conference • Assist with outreach and content collection for Annual Accelerate publication • Ensure timely response to event related inquiries • Work with committees to develop and distribute event surveys, track results • Support updates to website related to events • Support planning and execution of webinars and other virtual events for members • Maintain knowledge of in-person & virtual event best practices and trends for associations • Connects to the mission of COMTO • 2+ years of related experience in event, program or meetings management • 1+ years of experience working with a CRM or event management system • Familiarity with event applications (CVENT, WHOVA, Higher Logic or other) • Exceptional writing, verbal communications, & presentation skills • Resourceful, with ability to engage well in a team environment to drive stated outcomes • Highly organized, excellent attention to detail, works well in a fast-paced environment • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, communications, advertising, or certified project management professional a plus
