Manager, Special Events

As a vital part of the Wichita sports community, the team brings exciting and competitive baseball action to Riverfront Stadium. The Wind Surge are part of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), a company formed in 2021 with a mission to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball. The role available is for the Manager of Special Events, a position integral to the team's operations beyond game days. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive experience in event management within the dynamic context of professional sports and contributes directly to the financial success and community impact of the Wichita Wind Surge organization. • Bachelor's degree in business, facility, hospitality, sport management or similar • 2 - 4 years of related experience with a working knowledge of local and/or regional markets, event or venue operations, sales or marketing in the event industry • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks • Outstanding computer skills including MS Office products • Must be able to work holidays, evenings, and weekends • Ability to learn all video board and sound related equipment and basic functions
