Marketing and Event Planning Internship

TIDEWATER is Charleston's premier private social club, designed for the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands on experience in hospitality, marketing, event planning, and member engagement while working behind the scenes of one of Charleston's newest private clubs. Assist with planning and executing member events from concept through completion.Help coordinate event logistics, vendor communication, timelines, and event setup.Support social media content creation, including photography, videography, behind the scenes content, and brainstorming new ideas.Assist with email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and member communications.Help create promotional materials for upcoming club events and initiatives.Conduct market research and identify trends in hospitality, private clubs, and member experiences.Assist with membership outreach and promotional initiatives.Capture content during club events and assist with post event marketing.Support day to day club operations while learning how a luxury private club functions behind the scenes. Current college student preferred.Internship must be eligible for college credit through your university.Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Business, Sports Management, or a related field.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Organized with exceptional attention to detail.Comfortable working in a fast paced, collaborative environment.Creative mindset with an interest in social media, branding, and event experiences.Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, or similar design platforms is a plus.Familiarity with Meta preferred Availability to work occasional evenings for member events (scheduled and agreed upon in advance). Real world experience working inside a luxury private club.Mentorship from professionals in membership sales, marketing, social media, and event planning.Hands on experience planning and executing high end member events.Experience creating marketing campaigns and social media content for an established brand.Professional portfolio pieces and resume building experience.Networking opportunities with Charleston's top business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members.A dynamic internship where you'll be trusted with meaningful projects, not just administrative tasks.
