Marketing and Events Coordinator

Summary: Staff designated at Dickinson Wright PLLC (the “Firm”) as a Marketing and Events Coordinator play a key role in supporting the marketing, events and social media efforts of the Firm. The person in this integral position reports to the Head of Event Operations, and works closely with other marketing team members to facilitate a best-in-class approach to the cultivation of client relationships. Additionally, as a member of a small department, they will be expected to collaborate with colleagues on other projects as needed, including the creation of collateral packets, office marketing support and other projects. Essential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as Marketing and Events Coordinator at the Firm include but are not limited to: • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events including client receptions, seminars, conferences, webinars, networking functions, and staff events; • Manage event logistics such as venue selection, vendor coordination, catering, décor, AV needs, guest lists, and on-site execution; • Ensure compliance with Firm policies and legal industry standards, including confidentiality, client privacy, and risk management guidelines; • Develop and distribute pre- and post-event communications, such as invitations, reminders, event materials, thank-you notes, and follow-ups; • Track RSVPs and attendance, maintain contact databases, and report on event outcomes, engagement levels, and ROI; • Work with vendors and service providers, procure contracts and manage timelines to ensure smooth event execution; • Collaborate with graphic design and communications teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across event materials; • Stay current on legal industry trends and best practices in professional event planning to collaborate with event planning team regarding innovative event strategies; • Assist with social media postings and managing DW’s presence on all social media platforms; • Collaborate with lawyers and fellow marketing team members to identify value proposition and devise appropriate strategies for marketing initiatives; • Draft and/or review and edit content to ensure it is accurate, compelling, concise, and consistent with the Firm’s messaging and brand identity; • Collaborate with attorneys and leaders to promote the Firm via social media platforms; • Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a high level of professionalism; and • Perform additional responsibilities and duties as needed to support team and Firm objectives. Marketing and Events Coordinator must: • Be able to display a continual focus on process improvement and efficiency; • Possess strong writing and communications skills; • Be detail-oriented with a focus on delivering quality results; • Possess strong motivation and intellectual curiosity to understand assigned region/groups and the Firm’s client base, and an interest in bringing new ideas to the Firm; and • Work effectively both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
