Marketing and Special Event Manager

This role manages, plans, promotes, organizes, and administers the Department of Recreation marketing for all programs, events, and activities. Examples of Duties: • Manages operations, including planning and scheduling special events, registration, hiring and scheduling staff members, budgeting, procuring necessary supplies and equipment, and working with the appropriate Recreation Department employees to market the programs to the public. • Adapts recreation programs to meet needs of the department and the community. • Works with the Executive Communications team to provide content for the main City social media accounts and email newsletters, and to ensure that Recreation and Cit-wide marketing efforts are aligned and cohesive. • Develops a comprehensive and uniform special events plan and schedule for the entire Recreation Department.
