Greenleaf Hospitality Group is building the future of sports, entertainment, and hospitality in Southwest Michigan. As the operator of the Kalamazoo Event Center, we're creating a premier destination for concerts, sporting events, community celebrations, and unforgettable experiences when it opens in Fall 2027.
We're looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our Sports & Entertainment marketing team and help keep a growing portfolio of projects, campaigns, games, and events moving forward.
This role will provide day-to-day coordination and execution support, with a strong focus on organization, task management, communication, and project follow-through. The Marketing Coordinator will also gain hands-on experience across social media, email, digital marketing, content, grassroots promotion, and game and event execution.
From supporting the Kalamazoo Wings' final season at Wings Event Center to helping prepare for the opening of the Kalamazoo Event Center, this role is an opportunity to contribute to some of the region's most visible sports and entertainment initiatives while building broad marketing experience.
**What You'll Be Doing:**

### **Campaign Support**
* Assist in executing marketing campaigns for GHG Sports & Entertainment brands, events, games, and initiatives.
* Support marketing activities across social media, email, digital, grassroots, and other promotional channels.
* Help maintain campaign timelines and gather necessary information, materials, and approvals.
* Support ticket sales and attendance initiatives through coordinated marketing efforts.
### **Task & Administrative Support**
* Create and maintain marketing tasks within the team's task management system, including assignments, due dates, statuses, and relevant information.
* Review incoming marketing requests and ensure necessary details are captured.
* Monitor upcoming deadlines and flag outstanding or overdue tasks.
* Attend meetings as needed to capture notes, action items, and next steps.
* Maintain organized marketing files, shared resources, calendars, contact lists, and event information.
* Provide general administrative support, including scheduling and coordinating team materials.
### **Content Support**
* Assist with content for social media, websites, emails, and other promotional channels.
* Capture photo and video content at games, events, and other activations, as needed
* Coordinate with the design team on graphics and creative assets.
* Assist with maintaining accurate event, game, promotion, and ticket information across marketing channels.
### **Digital Marketing Support**
* Make basic website and content management system updates.
* Gather and organize assets and information for digital advertising campaigns.
* Assist with maintaining content and promotional calendars.
* Submitting and updating event and venue information on community calendars and websites.
### **Game & Event Support**
* Assist with marketing execution surrounding games, concerts, events, theme nights, and community activations.
* Prepare and organize promotional materials, signage, giveaways, and other marketing collateral
* Support grassroots marketing and community outreach efforts.
* Provide on-site marketing and content support as needed.
### **Performance & Research Support**
* Gather campaign performance data, including ticket sales, social media insights, email performance, and website traffic.
* Assist with organizing recurring reports and campaign recaps.
* Conduct basic audience, competitor, event, and industry research to support marketing initiatives.
**Requirements:**

* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sports management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
* 0–2 years of experience in marketing, sports, entertainment, events, administrative support, or a related role, including internship experience.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing concepts.
* Interest in sports, live entertainment, events, and experiential marketing.
* Comfortable using task management systems and learning new marketing tools and platforms.
* Basic proficiency with tools such as Canva, email marketing platforms, social media scheduling tools, or content management systems. Experience with Google Analytics or Sprout Social is a plus.
* Ability to work nights, weekends, and events as needed.
* Ability to take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
