Marketing Specialist and Event Planner

Smith Haughey Rice and Roegge (Smith Haughey), a full-service law firm, is looking for a full-time Marketing Specialist and Event Planner to join the team in its Grand Rapids, MI office. Everyone has a role, but it takes the team to ensure we are excellent as a whole. The primary objective of the position is to assist the firm in deriving visibility to aid in business development. Major Duties and Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and track marketing initiatives such as email, social media or digital campaigns, and events • Collaborate with attorneys and practice groups to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives • Develop and create marketing materials, assuring brand guidelines are met • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums, including website, marketing collateral, media content, and client materials • Responsible for managing all aspects of external events, from concept through execution by understanding client/firm needs, creating detailed plans, securing vendors, coordinating logistics, and overseeing the event to ensure a successful and memorable experience, while adhering to budget constraints and timelines • Assist with planning and coordination of internal events • Oversight and management of customer relations management (CRM) system • Work with external vendors and agencies as necessary to execute marketing initiatives • Other related duties as assigned
