About the Event: The Alaska Jewish Cultural Gala is an annual celebration of Jewish culture, cuisine, and music in Alaska, promoting diversity and tolerance in the community. The Gala takes place this November at the Denaina Convention Center and is a black-tie affair. Objectives of This Role Plan the Gala: Manage all aspects of event planning, meet deadlines, attend bi-weekly meetings, and adhere to budget. Volunteer Coordination: Develop procedures, recruit, train, schedule, and oversee volunteers; manage on-site needs. Required Skills and Qualifications Events management: 2 years (Required) Customer service: 2 years (Required) Proven experience in event planning or coordination; fundraising/non-profit experience preferred Strong communication and relationship-building skills Excellent organization and time management; ability to multitask and meet deadlines Calm under pressure; problem-solving during event planning and execution Adaptability and flexibility; ability to adjust plans as needed Passion for the mission of the Alaska Jewish Campus Preferred Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in event management, hospitality, marketing, or related field Proven track record in event planning, ideally nonprofit fundraising Marketing or public relations experience Familiarity with auction software (Greater Giving) or similar platforms Experience with Greater Giving online platform is highly preferred How to Apply Please submit your resume and cover letter outlining your relevant experience and passion for event planning.
