Kautter Wenhold Management Group (KWMG), is an association management company that supports 18 state-based and national non-profit clients. The Meeting Planner must understand and appreciate the purpose of each client’s event (continuing education, networking, professional licensing, etc) and effectively assist the client in obtaining their goals as an association. The Meeting Planner must understand that working in the meetings department is a team effort involving both fellow staff members and volunteer association officers, and that effective cooperation and utilizing the strengths of each team member is the key to success. • Conduct research and gather statistics of client groups to be used in marketing materials and advertisements. • Ability to effectively maintain the budget of a group’s event is imperative.
