• *Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Meetings and Events Manager to join our team in El Paso. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in convention sales management and hospitality industry principles and practices. They will be able to lead a team and motivate others to achieve their goals. • *Responsibilities:** • Solicit and book group business for El Paso area hotels, meeting facilities, and other venues • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, attractions, and hotels relative to El Paso's hospitality industry • Coordinate and conduct site tours for meeting planners, showcasing facilities and attractions in the El Paso area • Participate in familiarization (FAM) programs for groups of meeting planners from across the region, state, and country • Represent the Destination El Paso/Visit El Paso in area, regional, and state organizations as directed • *Requirements:** • Strong sales team leadership experience • Strong presentation and public speaking skills • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines • Willingness to travel and flexibility to adjust to situations as they occur
