Responsibilities As a Non-Profit Event Planner, you will play a critical role in supporting the Development Team in implementing sustainable health initiatives within diverse and vulnerable communities in the Huntsville, AL market. Your responsibilities will include: • Working closely with Event Coordinators and Development Directors to support event planning • Assisting with pre-event planning and projects related to events within the market • Collaborating with Volunteers to support committees related to core campaigns • Developing collateral for events, including save the dates, invitations, and programs • Helping with volunteer recruitment and management • Social media planning for core events and Serve Day actions during centennial celebrations • Advocacy and Volunteer recruitment on campus • Health Fair support when applicable • *Requirements** To be successful in this role, you must have strong leadership experience, demonstrated skills in effective one-on-one and group communications, and comfort working with all levels of community leaders, volunteers, and staff. You should also be able to work professionally in corporate and non-profit environments, make cold calls to donors and potential supporters, use Microsoft Office programs and Canva, and deal professionally in a fast-paced dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities.
