Part-Time Event Director

Union Pine is a beloved wedding and event venue known for creating unforgettable experiences and fostering a hub for community, creativity, and a really good time. We're seeking an Event Director to oversee event planning, execution, and venue management.

Position Overview:

The Event Director will manage all aspects of event production, from strategy and logistics to execution, for both small and large-scale events. The role requires a blend of creativity, operational expertise, and the ability to lead a small team with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have extensive event and venue management experience, particularly in weddings, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning and execution of events ranging from small corporate meetings to large weddings (up to 150 guests).

Oversee all event logistics, including venue management, vendor coordination, staffing, and catering.

Develop and execute in-house events, including marketing, budgeting, and vendor coordination.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Manage risk assessments and troubleshoot event challenges to ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications:

5+ years of event management experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.

Proven experience executing large-scale events, particularly weddings.

Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Proficiency in event management tools, including Google Drive, Perfect Venue, Illustrator, InDesign, and iCal (preferred).

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and think strategically.
Passion for creating memorable, impactful experiences.
