Part-Time Event Planner/Production Assistant

Rella’s Exquisite Events & Décor is looking for an experienced Event Planner/Production Assistant. The duties and responsibilities of an Event Planner/Production Assistant require the ability to communicate well with customers and venues. Visionaries must pay careful attention to detail using information, material and products from several sources to plan and create a successful event. Visionary must possess the ability to carry out any delegated tasks to facilitate setting up and executing gatherings such as weddings, birthdays, anniversary parties, corporate meetings, productions, presentations and so much more! Other Event Planner/Production Assistant responsibilities and qualifications include: • Must possess the ability to be innovative and support the vision and ideas of the Owner • Candidate must possess the ability to listen attentively to customer requests and keeping records of these requests • Candidate must be FLEXIBLE, DEPENDABLE, AND RELIABLE • Candidate must be available to work AM, PM and Weekends depending on scheduled events • Candidate must maintain an upbeat and positive personality • Candidate must be able to work under potential stressful conditions • Candidate must be experienced and capable in selecting an appropriate venue suitable for the type of event • Having good knowledge of geographic locations and their main attractions for business growth • Organizing audiovisual equipment in advance if required • Coordinating hotels, transportation and food if required • Attending and monitoring activities to ensure client satisfaction • Reviewing bills and approving payments in absence of Owner if required • Able to execute delivery, distribution and pickup of rental equipment to and from event location in a timely manner • Candidate must be able to bend, lift, carry and transfer up to 50lbs or more and must be able to climb to reach high places and points safely EXPERIENCE and REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES One year of Production/Event Planning experience (REQUIRED) High School Diploma or Associate degree (can be substituted with 2 years’ experience) Customer Service experience Delivery experience (PREFERRED) Bilingual or Multilingual (A plus but not required) Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be adaptable to change Attention to detail and take ultimate pride in your work Salary $15.00 per hour Job Type Part-time Temporary
