Private Events Manager

Duties and Responsibilities Overview • Is responsible for the selling of semi-private spaces to private and corporate buyers • Researches industry trends and promotes competitive event services • Maintains a database of prospective and former clients and builds repeat business relationships • Is responsible for maintaining existing guest relationships and creating repeat sales • Politely and professionally answers inbound calls and emails, and greets clients • Host tours; familiarize guests and potential clients with taproom features and event services • Oversees and executes events from start to finish, ensuring event spaces are properly set up and that taproom staff are fully prepared to deliver an exceptional guest experience. • Determines customer requirements and proposes event space options • Communicates effectively with guests, front of house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth execution of events • Maintains the event management software (Tripleseat) including the on-site reservation calendar • Creates and maintains an inventory of supplies, event equipment, and marketing materials and places orders for replenishment • Trains and supervises event staff • Adheres to food and health industry regulations and standards Requirements • 2+ years experience in restaurant or catering management preferred, not required • ServSafe certification preferred • attention to detail and quality in products, customer experience, and job performance • professionalism as defined by the ability to make deliberate, intentional decisions, and a desire to grow your competence and skills • a combination of creativity, exceptional execution, and personal character to set the standard of what the MN craft beer experience should be • Are you comfortable managing both the sales and execution of private and corporate events from start to finish, including working evenings and weekends? • Do you have experience training and supervising event staff to ensure food safety and exceptional guest service?
