The Friends of Sutro Tunnel Charity (FoSTC) seeks a passionate Event & Program Coordinator to bring the Historic Sutro Tunnel and Site to life as a premier living history park, driving heritage tourism in Dayton, Nevada. Funded through the Travel Nevada 3D Project, this role is dedicated to creating, enhancing, and managing new tourism experiences that align with the 10-year Destination Plan’s focus on history, heritage, and outdoor recreation. • Volunteer Program: Establish and manage a volunteer program to support tour guides, museum docents, event staffing, merchandise shop operations, and trail maintenance for theSutro/Virginia City Trails Project. Qualifications • Strong interest in and knowledge of the Historic Sutro Tunnel, Comstock history, mining, and Nevada’s cultural heritage, with the ability to interpret history for diverse audiences. • Preferred: Experience with outdoor recreation programming and collaborating with tourism partners on multi-site initiatives.
