In addition, this position will also help the Garden promote and market the Gardens (by designing and developing promotional materials, including website and social media updates, brochures, advertisements, banners, newsletters, and other outreach information); manage student/temp employees hired to assist this position; manage the membership program and commemorative brick program. Knowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired in a four-year college degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business, Hospitality Management or in an area related to the work being performed; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible and expansive work experience in event management, marketing of garden events, meeting with the public, donors, stakeholders; including planning and managing special events; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Design skills in Publisher, Canva, or other similar software. Cover letter describing experience and interest in this position. Normal work schedule of 8-5 with days/hours varying with some weekends and evenings based on event schedules.
