Public Events Manager - Armature Works

The Armature Works Public Events Manager is responsible for assisting with the preplanning, coordination and executing of all public facing events. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative and dedicated to continually testing, measuring, learning, and evolving the events programs. • Help plan, update, and implement an event schedule that includes innovative ideas for our monthly, quarterly, annually and marquee events • Basic entertainment technical knowledge with the ability to set up small events, including powering up speakers, adjusting audio levels, moving, and setting up the event space or coordinating teams to do so • Be available to run any events onsite as needed • Create and communicate the event run of show for all major events while communicating with the operations team, internal and external contacts and applicable team members as needed • Work with Senior Marketing Events Manager in addition to rest of the Marketing and Operations teams daily • Share input and ideas as needed to identify and implement new events to keep Armatures Works calendar fresh and innovative • Assist with updating and developing an annual calendar of all Armature Works events, alongside other venue events that are held throughout the year • Manage third party vendors and work with internal marketing and operation teams to execute all events as needed • Establish and grow target market share • Provide and lead all third-party content development and updating for events • Flexible schedule, strong communication and organization skills, basic Marketing and Event knowledge. Performance or Stage Management skills &/ or experience with Bands or DJ’s a plus but not required • For small events you will be responsible for coordination of room set up, check ins, quality control and customer service during the event • For larger events, you will be expected to help with coordination and set up of the event, quality control during the event and break down at the end of the day • Currently only accepting local candidates, as this is an in-house position • A BA/BS degree in Event Planning, Marketing, or related field a plus but not required • Professional, 1+ year’s event experience • Experience in corporate conference planning, trade show planning, stage management, or similar event or production planning • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and highly visible projects on the ground, able to make quick, guest centered choices in changing and sometimes stressful situations • Strong communications skills – written and oral • Forward-thinking and detail oriented • Highly organized with an ability to update calendars, manage ticketing platforms, categorize resources & budget personnel • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Capable of standing comfortably for up to eight hours a day, working long hours, evenings, and weekends • Available to be onsite for all major onsite events including 4th of July, Fall Fest, Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and New Year’s Eve, plus other mid-level events as needed • Familiarity with Eventbrite or similar ticketing platform • Move easily between brainstorming big, creative ideas, while managing ongoing process improvement
