Reception, Communications and Event Planning Coordinator Key responsibilities include producing communication materials, maintaining the website, writing and editing content, creating the monthly newsletter, responding to inquiries, and serving as the event coordinator for the church. Relationships: Accountable to the Senior Pastor as head of staff in the performance of their responsibilities, with the support of Personnel and the Session. The Communications Coordinator will work in partnership with the Communications Committee. Communications Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain the church and preschool’s website and social media accounts • Manage and promote announcements and church events through calendar, website platforms and social media • Create and design compelling logos, signage, posters/fliers, digital and print publications and emails as needed • Create and organize monthly newsletter and weekly email blasts that features the stories of the church and upcoming events • Design, print, label and organize bulk mail to be sent to the entire congregation • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to work on church communications • Produce weekly Sunday worship bulletins according to the direction of the Communications and Worship & Music committees.
