The Grove Restaurant is Portland's newest dining destination, opening mid-November inside brand new entertainment venue, Fifth & Elm. The Grove offers artisan eats, scenic happy hours and the perfect spot to gather to dine, catch some live music or host your next private event.

Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Restaurant Front of House Manager for The Grove restaurant located inside of Portland's newest venue, Fifth & Elm. This role is essential in ensuring exceptional food service and hospitality, contributing to our mission of making every event a dream come true.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure high standards of food quality and customer service for dining area and four total bars including inventory, maintenance, cleanliness and safety
Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a strong team.
Implement effective customer experience strategies to enhance guest experiences.
Manage shift changes, closing out registers and be trusted with handling cash and having access to a safe
Enforcing company policies consistently for all staff and handling disciplinary conversations
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all food service areas.
Collaborate with event venue staff to provide seamless guest experience for catered events that our restaurant/bar are servicing
Utilize Toast POS system for efficient order processing and financial reporting.

Requirements

Proven experience in food service management or hospitality management (minimum 2 years)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests and staff.
Familiarity with Toast POS systems is a plus.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
