Sales & Event Coordinator

The Job

Hyatt Place Knoxville, located in the heart of downtown, is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team! This position assists the DOSM and Sales Manager with various administrative duties, account management, customer follow-up, and presentation preparation.

This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Your Responsibilities

Partnering with clients as the point of contact for questions, requests, booking and confirmation information, etc.
Maintaining organization of office files and entries
Communicating interdepartmentally to ensure details of group and corporate directives are executed properly
Preparing sales-related reports, Resumes, and Banquet Event Orders
Retrieving a complete understanding of the customer’s business needs to best meet the expectations of the client
Performing hotel site tours with potential clients
Other duties as assigned

What You Need

Previous sales, administrative, or customer service experience required
Experience working with Opera, Delphi, and Hyatt systems a plus
Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiency required
Excellent verbal and written communication required
Previous hotel experience or Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
Excellent judgment/decision making and time management skills preferred
Energetic team player, with a desire to grow within hospitality sales

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
