Sales & Marketing Lead / Event Coordinator

About the Position Lead efforts in development of overall company branding narrative and marketing strategy: • Maintain and improve company website as new event media becomes available • Maintain and improve social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn); Develop ideas, collect media, and create posts • Assist with development of marketing materials (digital and print) • Track and participate in industry events and tradeshows (WIPA, ILEA, NACE, MPI, etc) • Grow company network of planners, vendors, and clients; maintain contact database • Plan and host several open house / industry events per year • Develop community partnerships and sponsorships to promote the company • Establish goals for events and programming that align with our overarching vision Drive sales: • Develop and implement strategies to generate new leads in all market sectors • Identify and capitalize on trends and opportunities in current and emerging markets • Respond to and correspond with new leads regarding availability, rates and overall fit • Host tours with new leads and their vendors to showcase the space and its features • Nurture existing relationships; develop/implement strategies to drive repeat business • Facilitate outreach to non-profits and develop strategies to promote rental viability • Track competitors and gather market research for annual rental rate assessment • Develop and implement new revenue opportunities aside from venue rental fees Lead efforts with event coordination for sales made: • Develop proposals, solidify contract terms and gather contract details for each event • Act as primary contact during event coordination phase • Contact and solicit quotes from third-party vendors as required to support events • Drive and establish the overall plan for each event (layout, vendors, details, timeline) • Communicate and hand off the final plan to Event Support • Maintain shared calendar to track events and all other onsite activities • Follow-up post-event to send thanks and gather feedback Preferred Qualifications • At least 3 plus years’ experience in event planning, sales, coordination and/or production, preferably in the arts, entertainment, or hospitality fields • Experience in client outreach, relationship management, and achieving sales targets, with a track record of cultivating and maintaining high-value client relationships • Proven skills in creating compelling proposals for potential clients, tailored to meet their specific needs and preferences • Ability to work independently on projects and proactive in seeking clarification when needed • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects with varying timelines • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for effectively representing the company at events, tradeshows, and networking functions • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills to manage a continuous workflow in a high-volume, multi-tasking environment • Willing and able to transport themselves to client meetings and sales calls off-site as needed • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as determined by business volume and event schedule • Education or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Communication, Hospitality, or related field • Experience with software programs, including: Tripleseat, Prismm, All Seated, Trello, Dropbox, Docusign, and the Microsoft Office suite
