Senior Catering Event Planner

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Catering Event Planner to manage and execute a wide range of sophisticated catering events. This role is critical for ensuring exceptional client experiences from conception to completion. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, developing creative event concepts, coordinating all logistical elements, and overseeing on-site execution to ensure flawless delivery. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously. A strong understanding of menu planning, food presentation, venue capabilities, and vendor management is essential. You will work closely with the culinary team to craft bespoke menus and with the operations team to ensure seamless service. Building and maintaining strong client relationships is paramount, as is ensuring all events adhere to budget and quality standards. Consult with clients to understand their event vision, budget, and specific requirements. Develop detailed event proposals, including customized menus, floor plans, and timelines. Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue liaison, vendor management, and staffing. Oversee menu selection and customization, ensuring dietary needs are met. Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability. Supervise on-site event execution, ensuring adherence to quality and service standards. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events. Conduct post-event follow-up and gather client feedback for continuous improvement. Stay current with industry trends in events and catering. Collaborate with sales and culinary teams to ensure cohesive event planning. Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as an Event Planner or Catering Manager. Demonstrated success in planning and executing high-profile events. Excellent knowledge of food and beverage, menu design, and presentation. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Exceptional organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency in event planning software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field is preferred.
