Senior Event Coordinator

Our client, a dynamic and growing hospitality group, is seeking a highly organized and creative Senior Event Coordinator to join their team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, US . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to manage and execute a diverse range of events, from corporate gatherings to large-scale public functions. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, exceptional planning skills, and a passion for delivering unforgettable guest experiences. You will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and execution of events, including budget management, vendor negotiation, timeline development, and on-site supervision. This role requires a proactive approach, the ability to multitask effectively under pressure, and a strong commitment to client satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision and objectives, translating them into seamless and successful events. Responsibilities include: developing event concepts and themes; sourcing and managing venues, caterers, entertainment, and other suppliers; creating detailed event schedules and floor plans; coordinating logistics for all event components, including AV, decor, and staffing; overseeing event setup, execution, and breakdown; managing event budgets and ensuring profitability; handling client communications and feedback; and post-event analysis and reporting. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive experience in event planning and management, preferably within the hospitality or agency sector. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications is required. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules. This is a hybrid role, requiring a balance of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility, based out of our Minneapolis, Minnesota, US office.
