A strong leader and problem-solver, the Senior Event Manager plays a key role in upholding operational excellence and delivering exceptional client experiences. Team members at this tier may still be actively learning procedures and/or developing stronger skillsets to manage larger-scale events and supervise others.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:· Plans and executes events, ensuring they align with client expectations and company standards.Manages events on-site, competently directing all staff and vendors throughout the event’s duration.Handles post-event invoicing, reconciling all billing; provides requested information to Accounting.Assists with creating proposals and transportation manifests when needed.Conducts or participates in site inspections to facilitate sales and planning processes.· Cultivates and maintains ongoing communication with clients, engaging in active listening to fully understand and sell/up-sell to their needs.· Fosters strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.· Monitors industry trends and innovative event solutions to enhance client experiences.· Maintains a complete understanding of JRDM’s pricing and service offerings.· Demonstrates the ability to carry on a professional, productive conversation with prospective clients, business owners, and decision-makers.· Assists with onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members.· Attends company staff meetings, networking functions, and client meetings as needed.JOB SPECIFICATIONS:· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Meeting/Event Planning, or a related field.· 5+ years of event management experience with a proven track record of successfully executed events of all scopes and sizes.· CMP or similar designation (or in the process of acquiring it) strongly preferred.· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.· Intermediate-to-advanced computing skills.
