Senior Event Manager

The Senior Event Manager (SEM) oversees every aspect of touring events at the facility from advanced planning stages through event completion. Responsibilities • Oversight and ownership of front of house, back of house, and security matters for Events • Create event layouts using AutoCAD or similar programs • Address personnel matters and recommend actions • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and provide quality customer service • Develop and implement programs, policies, and procedures for the facility • Prepare comprehensive management reports and manuals • Participate in interdepartmental project groups and special projects • Represent the company at meetings • Establish relationships with staff, stakeholders, and users • Plan, direct, and evaluate subordinate work • Provide leadership for event personnel • Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language • Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Complete duties with a customer service focus • Advance events/shows • Assist in preparing the building for upcoming events/shows • Help prepare pre-show event financial estimates • Assist with post-show event settlements • Advise lessees on available services for events • Recruit, train, schedule, and handle payroll for event staff • Recommend required event staffing levels • Coordinate communication between building and show staff during load-in and load-out • Establish relationships with lessees, employees, municipal officials, contractors, etc. Oak View Group is committed to equal employment opportunity and will not discriminate against employees or applicants on any legally recognized basis.
