Position Summary

The Senior Events Manager will lead strategic oversight and performance of the Americas event portfolio, which includes in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, as well as workshops and webinars. You will establish priorities, success metrics, and frameworks that ensure our events engage members effectively, enhance our brand, and achieve revenue targets. Additionally, you will be the global program owner for ISC2's virtual events and webinar series, continuously improving program design, technology integration, scalability, and attendee experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Provide strategic direction and governance for the Americas Events team, ensuring exemplary delivery of in-person, hybrid, virtual, and webinar programs.
• Lead annual planning initiatives, establishing team goals, success metrics, and timelines to align with organizational objectives.
• Manage regional event budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses to facilitate informed operational decisions.
• Analyze event performance and attendee insights to optimize the event portfolio and guide future planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance audience acquisition and program content delivery.
• Establish team priorities and operational procedures that promote balanced workloads and operational excellence.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with ISC2 values.
• Budgeting and Reporting
• Oversee regional event performance metrics, including revenue contribution, expenses, attendee feedback, and ROI analyses.
• Translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership regarding investments and improvements.
• Conduct competitive analyses and gather audience insights to inform growth strategies.
• Ensure accurate management of event budgets, promoting responsible spending and resource allocation.
• Develop scalable processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Americas Event team.
• Identify and mitigate operational, technical, and financial risks.
• Program Ownership for Virtual Events & Webinars
• Define the vision and success metrics for ISC2's virtual events and webinar offerings, ensuring sustainable development.
• Act as the strategic lead for ISC2's global virtual event and webinar program, guiding programming, technology, engagement, and partner collaboration.
• Ensure high-quality delivery by collaborating with production teams and governing event standards.
• Work with marketing and member engagement teams to enhance audience reach and connection.
• Maintain the global webinar calendar and ensure a systematic production process.
• Operational & Technical Oversight
• Manage ISC2's event technology ecosystem, overseeing vendor partnerships, contracts, and data integrations.
• Evaluate technology performance to identify enhancement needs that optimize event delivery and attendee experience.
• Stay informed of trends in event management and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline processes and document best practices.
• Understand ISC2 certifications and member services to enhance engagement across events.
• Carry out additional assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and an eagerness to learn new software tools.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience within a global organization.
• Experience in leading and developing teams, particularly in remote work environments.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience managing various types of events.
• 5+ years' experience with virtual platforms and event technology (CVENT or similar software).
• CMP or other event certification is preferred.
• Experience in cybersecurity, technology, or membership associations is a plus.
• Familiarity with event technology, webinar platforms, and integration with CRM systems is desirable.

Physical and Mental Demands
• Ability to work extended hours as events require.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and use standard office equipment.
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs during onsite events.
