Position Summary
As the Senior Events Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our Americas event portfolio, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, as well as workshops and webinars. You will set strategic priorities and measurable success frameworks to ensure our events foster high engagement, reinforce our brand, and drive revenue. Additionally, you will own the global program for ISC2's virtual events and webinars, focusing on continual enhancement in attendee experience and program design.
You'll lead and mentor a talented team of event planners, enabling them to execute successful events aligned with our organizational goals for engagement, education, and growth.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and governance for the Americas Event team, ensuring top-notch execution across all event types. Lead annual planning efforts: setting team goals, metrics for success, and timelines for event execution. Manage event budgets and financial forecasts to support informed decision-making. Review event performance and attendee feedback to refine and optimize our event portfolio. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance audience acquisition and program content alignment. Drive a team culture that embodies ISC2's core values, fostering collaboration and inclusivity. Budgeting and Reporting
Oversee comprehensive reporting on event performance, including financial outcomes and ROI analysis. Translate performance insights into strategic recommendations for leadership. Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark performance and explore new growth opportunities. Ensure meticulous management of event budgets. Establish and maintain efficient processes and operational frameworks for the event team. Program Ownership: Virtual Events & Webinars
Define the strategic vision and roadmap for ISC2's virtual event offerings, ensuring efficiency and attendee satisfaction. Drive the direction of programming and tech integration for the global virtual events. Ensure production teams consistently deliver high-quality virtual events. Work closely with teams focused on marketing, business development, and member engagement to boost virtual attendance. Operational & Technical Oversight
Oversee the event technology ecosystem, managing vendor relationships and integration processes. Identify technology gaps and implement solutions to enhance event efficiency and attendee experience. Stay informed about the latest trends in event technology and management. Behavioral Competencies

Experience in leading and developing teams in a remote environment. Willingness to work with AI tools or learn new technologies. Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in managing various types of events. 5+ years of experience with event technology, registrations, and integrations. CMP or similar event certifications preferred. Experience in sectors like cybersecurity, technology, or membership associations is a plus. Familiarity with mobile apps, webinar platforms, and CRM integrations is desirable. Physical and Mental Demands
