Position Summary

The Senior Events Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the strategic execution of our diverse event portfolio, which includes in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, workshops, and webinars. You will define objectives, establish success metrics, and implement frameworks to ensure exceptional member engagement and brand impact while achieving financial goals. Moreover, you will guide a dynamic team of event planners, fostering their development and leading them to deliver successful events that align with our organizational aims.

Responsibilities

Lead the Americas Event team by ensuring seamless event delivery across all formats. Set and align annual planning, team objectives, and success metrics with the organization's strategic vision. Manage regional event budgets and analyze cost-effectiveness to support strategic decision-making. Evaluate event performance, gathering insights to enhance future event planning and optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance audience acquisition and refine member programming. Cultivate a positive, inclusive team culture aligned with ISC2's core values. Budgeting and Reporting

Deliver comprehensive regional event performance reports, analyzing expenses, revenue, and attendee feedback. Provide actionable insights based on performance data to support leadership decisions. Conduct analysis for performance benchmarking and uncover growth opportunities. Ensure event budgets are accurately managed and appropriately allocated. Establish scalable processes and SOPs for the event team to enhance operational efficiency. Program Ownership: Virtual Events & Webinars

Shape the vision and strategic direction for ISC2's virtual events and webinars to ensure scalability and lasting value. Serve as the strategic lead for the global virtual events program, overseeing programming and attendee engagement. Ensure top-notch quality and consistency of delivery across virtual events. Partner with various teams to optimize audience engagement and acquisition. Manage the global webinar calendar and production processes to uphold quality standards. Operational & Technical Oversight

Oversee ISC2's event tech ecosystem, managing vendor relationships and integrations. Assess technology performance to improve event efficiency and attendee experience. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to elevate our event management approaches. Work with stakeholders to refine processes and document best practices. Behavioral Competencies

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and eagerness to learn new software. Experience working collaboratively within a global organization. Proven leadership in developing remote teams. Familiarity with AI tools is a plus. Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as marketing or business. 10+ years in event management, with expertise in various event formats. 5+ years in virtual event platforms and event technology integration. CMP certification or similar credentials preferred. Experience in cybersecurity or tech industry preferred. Physical and Mental Demands

Ability to work extended hours as needed for events. Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically. Ability to sit or stand for long periods and perform standard office tasks. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. for event support. Equal Employment Opportunity Statement
