DescriptionThe Senior Manager of Special Events is responsible for the planning and execution of all major ABCD events, and for the development and on-going support of program and neighborhood events. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage the design, logistics, budget, and participation in all the annual recognition and fundraising events, such as the Community Heroes Celebration, Hoop Dreams, Field of Dreams, and the Staff Celebration, and other important events for the organization. Oversee systems and track overall participation in the events, including maintenance of attendance lists, sponsorships, and VIP involvement. Support programs and neighborhood sites in developing and implementing successful outreach, awareness, or resource development events.Coordinate with staff, ensure that events comply with outlined event procedures, including event logistics, materials, and day-of coordination and troubleshooting.Develop, implement, and maintain a yearly calendar of special events for the organization in collaboration with Executive and other staff leadership. Flexibility, initiative, and ability to work in a team required.
