Special Event Coordinator

DESCRIPTIONSpecial Event CoordinatorBased on Experience; $20.00 to $23.00 per hour to start. This position is located in our corporate office in Springfield, MA. We will consider FT hours, or a parent-friendly schedule as well. Professionalism and attention to detail, while treating each event with the utmost importance are all essential to this position.We are proud members of The Knot's Hall of Fame for their Best of Weddings Program, and we are looking for a team member who will take pride in continuing this excellent reputation. A large portion of this position will involve coordinating travel arrangements with clients hiring our shuttle and parking service, preparing directions, scheduling staff, etc.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESSales and planning of private transportation services and valet parking services for private eventsAttend trade shows and events to showcase our service as neededWork closely with sales and marketing team to achieve goalsCommunication for staffing and site visits if needed with regional managers on any private event in their location.Generate leads and drive salesAnswering sales calls for new and existing clients and coordinating their servicesComplete Special Projects as assigned by the Director of Special EventsIdeas and insight for social media posts to promote special event servicesAssist with Marketing and Sales Materials as neededAssist in other areas as neededSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSCustomer Service, Written and Verbal Communication Skills, Organizational Skills, Research Skills, Presentation Skills, Client Relations, Driving Sales, Self-Confidence, Multi-Tasking, Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Office, Teams, Social Media Knowledge VPA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
