Job Family Description
Responsible for planning, managing, and organizing functions, events, and productions. Obtain all necessary services and supplies. Secure appropriate venue. Care for guests from registration/invitation, through the event.
Common Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Customer service skills and professionalism. Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office products and event registration applications. Ability to keep accurate written records. Sound judgement, initiative and a keen eye for detail. Ability to prioritize and work under stress. Ability to plan and direct student and or temporary workers. Organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with a diverse constituency of faculty, staff, alumni, students, and the public. Flexible to accommodate unpredictable demands. Ability to manage multiple tasks, and perform all duties while remaining personable and professional. Attentive to the needs of event owners and proactive in response to their needs. Knowledge of sales, marketing and communication techniques.

Job Function Description
Responsible for planning, managing, and organizing functions and events that support the mission of the University. Coordinates event set-up/tear-down of all events, activities and programs. Maintains a supply inventory. Processes payments of all event related expenditures, tracks event expenditures and prepares final event reports. Participates in all event activities including: planning, venue selection, personnel, managing event registrations, preparing event contracts, handling catering orders, preparing event materials such as name tags, placecards and programs, managing linens, handling event decor and design, and providing excellent customer service to event guests.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, and perform all duties while remaining personable and professional. Attentive to the needs of event owners and proactive in response to their needs. Knowledge of sales, marketing and communication techniques.
