Special Events Assistant/Intern

The City of Holland’s Downtown Holland office and the Holland Farmers Market are currently looking for a Special Event Assistant or Intern. The position begins in late May and ends in late August, with an additional opportunity to assist with special events on an as-needed basis throughout the year. The individual hired will work under the direction of the Marketing and Promotions Coordinator and the Special Events Coordinator for Downtown Holland and the Holland Farmers Market. • Other responsibilities may include creating newsletter, social media, and website content, communicating with Downtown businesses, attending stakeholder meetings, and other duties as assigned, all with the goal of promoting Downtown Holland and the Holland Farmers Market as unique and vibrant destinations. • Physical ability to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull items weighing up to 25 pounds.
