Special Events Coordinator

The position functions as the lead for all signature events and organizational events to ensure goals are met. Coordination of programs and oversight of the various stages of event development: development of event timelines and responsibilities, event details, executing of event, post event details, and financial tracking. The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The original vision of offering “soup, soap and salvation” to alcoholics has evolved into a privately funded nonprofit organization whose mission is to rebuild the lives of the homeless and needy through life building programs and the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. The revenue generated through the sale of donated items is used to support the ongoing work of the City Rescue Mission in providing food, shelter and services to the hungry, homeless and addicted in Northeast Florida.
