Special Events Coordinator

This role encompasses overseeing event logistics, coordinating staff and volunteers, leading marketing initiatives, managing procurement, and ensuring compliance with city ordinances. Additionally, the Special Events Coordinator collaborates with local organizations and groups to support community events and plays a key role in facilitating special event permitting and enforcing regulations related to the Central Events District and the Special Event Ordinance. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Plan, organize, and execute city-sponsored activities and events to enhance community engagement. • Obtain necessary licenses, permits, and agreements for events to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. • Propose and enforce rules for the operation and use of the Central Events District, including regulations for street performers, sound amplification, solicitation, and commercial vendors.
