Job Summary: The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, publicizing, and implementing various activities, events, and conferences. This full-time role requires occasional night and weekend work and is based in the Office of the President at Valdosta State University... Responsibilities: • Coordinate with other university staff • Oversee event planning, delegation, and implementation • Market university facilities to internal and external customers and manage event-set up and preparations • Supervise and train student workers and other staff as assigned • Provide support for facility maintenance and reservation processes • Manage audio-visual and other services • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, rules, regulations, laws, and agreements Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and over three years of related work experience • Current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia driver's license • Experience coordinating large-scale events and commencement ceremonies • Able to handle high-stress situations and maintain composure and professionalism • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
