NATURE OF WORK PERFORMED This position serves as the central point of contact for managing the review and processing of special event applications within the City of Bethlehem. The position works closely with community partners and organizations as well as staff across multiple City Departments and Bureaus - including Health, Tax, Engineering, Traffic, Recreation, Police, Fire, and the Mayor's Office - to ensure a smooth, collaborative permitting process. • Serves as a proactive and enthusiastic advocate for the City's special event process, striving to make the permitting experience efficient and accessible for community partners and event organizers. • Reviews and processes special event applications in a timely, organized, and detail-oriented manner. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments and with the public.
