Casinos are complex entertainment venues that combine gaming, hospitality, and entertainment to create a memorable experience for visitors. This role operates at the heart of the casino's Marketing Department, Promotions team, and Passport Rewards Center Activities, ensuring that special events are executed flawlessly and contribute to the casino's overall success. This includes working closely with Casino Marketing to analyze and utilize participant and guest data in planning events that attract and engage patrons. The Special Events Coordinator must be an effective communicator, personable with guests and staff, and able to maintain a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends, as special events often occur outside standard business hours. • Must be able to maintain a valid license with the Gaming Control Board • Bachelor’s degree in business, public relations, or related field preferred • Prior casino experience preferred • Experience in special events, promotions, or hospitality is beneficial • Computer experience required • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and casino software platforms • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Personable and effective communicator with guests and staff • Highly organized, motivated, and eager to learn • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
