Special Events Manager

Overview

As a Special Events Manager, you’ll turn client goals into well-organized, memorable events. You’ll lead planning from the first conversation through event delivery, coordinating budgets, contracts, catering, guest services, and event marketing. Your impact: thoughtful planning and responsive service help clients feel confident and guests enjoy a smooth, welcoming experience.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage events, timelines, budgets, and project details from concept to completion
Negotiate contracts, coordinate vendors and catering, and identify appropriate upselling opportunities
Lead event teams and collaborate across hospitality, marketing, and guest services
Communicate with clients throughout planning and delivery; resolve service needs promptly
Promote events through marketing activities and maintain accurate records in a customer relationship management (CRM) system

Requirements

Experience in events management, event planning, or hospitality; banquet or catering experience is valuable
Skills in team leadership, negotiation, customer service, client communication, and clear written and verbal communication
Strong organizational and time management skills, with experience managing event budgets
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event management software; CRM system proficiency and broader technical proficiency are preferred
Knowledge of marketing, event marketing, contracts, budgeting, and upselling; ability to manage multiple event priorities professionally

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
