This role requires a highly organized, client-focused professional with a keen ability to build strategic partnerships, strong financial acumen and a passion for creating memorable, brand-elevating experiences. Responsibilities and Duties • The person hired will be responsible but not limited to: • Lead all aspects of Special Events including sales and execution of events across all locations; • Deliver profitable events through strong cost control, pricing and resource planning; • Proactively develop key accounts (e.g., universities, local governments, real estate firms) and drive repeat business through targeted strategies; • Collaborate with taproom leadership to optimize event flow, staffing and customer service; • Report monthly to ownership on event performance metrics and event profitability; • Meet Weekly with Managers to plan strategies to facilitate growth of taproom revenue; • Assist Marketing Director with local marketing needs including printing, marketing meetings, and planning; • Develop and maintain an extensive directory and network of client contacts and event coordination professionals; • Manage permitting and compliance for large-scale on-site events; • Execution of special event permitting process for large scale on-site events; • Establish relationships with catering, rental and entertainment vendors to expand event offerings; • Secure event sponsorships for non-profit related fundraising events; • Work with taproom leadership to maintain special events equipment inventory (linens, chaffing dishes, etc); • Follow business practices that are within the law and consistent with all policies and procedures set for the by Steel Hands Brewing; • Represent the Steel Hands brand with professionalism, hospitality, and integrity; • Other duties as assigned. required and the ability to effectively use scheduling and budget systems; • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the general public; • Communicate effectively with the executive team to provide direct and clear feedback and positively influence others; • Self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems as they occur; • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment; • Full time hours are required with the ability to work on weekends and some holidays; • Experience with Tripleseat (or events organization software) and Arryved (or similar POS platforms) preferred; • Resides in the Columbia, South Carolina or surrounding area; • Ability to travel regularly between locations with reliable vehicle. • Must be 21 years of age.
