About the Role Our client is seeking an organized and energetic Sports Event Coordinator to join their team in George .
This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site and remote work, focusing on the planning, execution, and successful delivery of various sporting events within the Western Cape.
You will be responsible for managing all logistical aspects, ensuring a seamless experience for participants, spectators, and sponsors.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate all logistical elements of sports events, including venue selection, scheduling, and vendor management.
Liaise with stakeholders, including athletes, coaches, sponsors, and local authorities, to ensure smooth event operations.
Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress against these objectives.
Manage on-site event execution, overseeing setup, staffing, and troubleshooting as needed.
Create marketing materials and social media content to promote upcoming events and engage the community.
Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Sports Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in event planning and coordination , preferably within the sports industry.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working effectively with diverse groups.
Proficiency in project management software and standard office applications.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as event schedules demand.
