Sports Event Planner

Our client, a dynamic organization in the leisure and sports sector, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Sports Event Planner to join their team. This hybrid role, based in Huntsville, Alabama, US , offers the exciting opportunity to conceptualize, plan, and execute a variety of sports-related events, from local tournaments to larger sporting competitions. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor management, marketing, and on-site coordination. Key duties involve developing event concepts, creating detailed event schedules, securing necessary permits and insurance, and overseeing logistics such as transportation and accommodation. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for sports and a proven ability to plan and execute successful events. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills are essential. A Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Experience with event management software and strong project management capabilities are required. You should be adept at working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and problem-solving in real-time. This role requires flexibility for occasional travel and weekend work, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively in both remote and in-person settings at our Huntsville office.
