Student Services Event Specialist

📍 Burlington, VT in office 
💲 $15.00 - $25.00/hour DOE
🕒 Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM  \*\*A weekend day may be required on occasion for an event .
📅 Temporary Assignment: 9/28 through End of Year with possibility of extension. 

Do you enjoy event planning, student engagement, and working in a fast-paced environment? We're seeking a Student Services Event Specialist to support student recruitment, retention, and campus events for a well-respected higher education institution in Burlington.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate and support recruitment events, including Open Houses, Information Sessions, and Admitted Student programs.
* Work closely with Admissions to connect prospective students with campus resources, faculty, and staff.
* Plan and facilitate orientation activities, alumni events, student engagement programs, and retention initiatives.
* Support summer programs, internships, and new student opportunity development.
* Serve as a welcoming point of contact for students, families, and visitors.
* Update websites, recruitment materials, and promotional content.
* Coordinate branded marketing materials and outreach efforts.
* Assist with commencement planning and event execution.
* Provide administrative support to Student Services leadership and staff.

Qualifications:

* 1-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Strong event planning, organizational, communication, and proofreading skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Marketing, design, or website maintenance experience.
* Experience working within a large organization.
