Position: Program Coordinator – Tourism & Events The City of Newberry is a vibrant, growing, municipality! Under general supervision, performs administrative work in the planning and coordination of the City’s festivals and events such as Pork in the Park, Juneteenth, and Oktoberfest; assists in Newberry Tourism promotion; assists in Edward Kyzer Newberry Firehouse Conference Center operations. Other duties might also include assisting the Conference Center team in showing the facility to perspective patrons, coordinating bookings and setups, and covering scheduled events. As an employee, you would be a member of the SC Retirement system contributing 9% with an employer 18.56% match, accrue paid sick leave and vacation from date of hire, have the option to enroll in a deferred compensation plan, and be eligible to take part in the City’s Wellness program.
