Responsibilities • Serves as a leader in the conceptualization, development, management, and review of university and presidential events. The responsibilities include: 1) partnering with the University Registrar in a shared management of the large, complex events; 2) ensuring all ceremony participants are scheduled and trained, 3) coordinating with all vendors; 4) drafting and presenting ceremonial scripts; 5) providing on-site support; 6) providing primary management of doctoral and convocation ceremonies; 7) maintaining year-round engagement with key stakeholders; 8) managing collaborative partnerships to plan a comprehensive engagement strategy for student/recent graduate engagement; and 9) all other activities requiring the event manager to ensure successful commencement and convocation exercises. • Participates as a member of the University Relations leadership team by supporting, as appropriate, activities, meetings and events managed by the office.
