We are a growing wedding and event venue management company operating multiple event spaces throughout the West Michigan area. Our venues host weddings, corporate events, social events, and private celebrations, and we are looking for a driven, personable, and highly organized sales professional to help match clients with the right venue and turn qualified leads into booked events.

Position Overview

The Venue Sales Coordinator will support and own key parts of the sales process for multiple wedding and event venues. This includes responding to inquiries, qualifying leads, conducting venue tours, matching clients with the right venue, overcoming objections, securing signed contracts, and collecting payments.

This is a sales-focused role. The right candidate should be comfortable being measured by results, including lead response time, tour conversion, booked revenue, follow-up activity, and CRM accuracy.

We are looking for someone who can build trust quickly, communicate clearly, create urgency without being pushy, and consistently move potential clients through the sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

Respond quickly and professionally to all incoming inquiries
Qualify leads and determine which venue best fits the client’s needs, budget, guest count, and event style
Conduct venue tours and confidently present venue features, benefits, packages, and available dates
Follow up consistently with leads to move them through the sales process
Secure signed contracts and collect required payments
Maintain accurate CRM records, lead statuses, notes, follow-up tasks, and pipeline updates
Track and manage multiple active leads across multiple venues
Work toward sales goals, conversion targets, and booked revenue expectations
Communicate clearly with internal departments, including planning, operations, marketing, and leadership
Identify client needs and offer suggestions to enhance the event and increase booking potential
Handle questions, objections, and special requests during the sales process
Stay organized and proactive in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment
Assist with sales reporting, pipeline updates, and KPI tracking
Represent the company and venues with professionalism, positivity, and strong hospitality
Complete other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

Proven sales experience preferred
Wedding, event, venue, hospitality, or service-based sales experience preferred
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple leads, tours, contracts, and deadlines at the same time
Comfortable using Google Workspace, CRM systems, scheduling software, payment systems, and online event platforms
Ability to learn and follow a defined sales process
Strong problem-solving skills
Customer-service mindset with a sales-driven approach
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collaborate with multiple departments
Comfortable making calls, sending follow-ups, and proactively moving leads forward

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling weddings, events, venues, hospitality services, or other high-touch client experiences
Experience working with sales KPIs, conversion rates, or revenue goals
Experience using CRM systems to manage a sales pipeline
Degree in sales, marketing, hospitality, communications, public relations, or a related field is a plus, but proven sales ability and strong client communication skills are more important

Schedule

This is a full-time position, typically 40+ hours per week.

The typical schedule is Wednesday through Sunday. Some flexibility may be available based on tour volume, events, and business needs, but weekend availability is required, especially during peak sales and event seasons.

Work Environment

This role operates in both a professional office setting and event venue setting.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to:

Stand and walk for extended periods during venue tours
Navigate multiple event spaces
Lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
Work in both office and event environments

Compensation

This position includes a base salary ($35k-$45k annually) plus commission, with opportunities for monthly, quarterly, and annual bonuses based on performance.

Compensation is designed to reward strong sales performance, booked revenue, lead conversion, and consistent follow-through.

Lead-to-tour conversion rate
Tour-to-booking conversion rate
Total booked revenue
CRM accuracy and pipeline management
Contracts sent and contracts closed

Pay: $35,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
