The Wedding and Event Planning Manager is the on-site contact and is responsible for the smooth planning and subsequent execution of all wedding, social, gala and other events as assigned. The Wedding and Event Planning Manager also hosts hotel tours, wedding and event tastings, maintains strong internal and external customer relationships, participates in and may lead event meetings, and other staff meetings, and works as a team member with the sales, event and hotel staff. This is the Hyatt Touch. • Refined verbal and written communication skills • A minimum of 2-3 years of hotel wedding event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge • Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, adaptable to change, organized and able to handle wedding and event planning in a fast-paced environment • Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program • Prefer wedding and event planning, selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
