Who you are • You have a minimum of two years of wedding and/or event coordination or equivalent administrative experience; group event/wedding coordination experience in a resort or event space preferred • You have the ability to work full time in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, which may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, when needed • You are a self-motivated goal setter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks that are provided from several individuals at one time • You have stellar organizational skills, flexibility, detail orientation and strong conceptualization abilities • You display exemplary communication skills and have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities • You have a passion for service excellence and for creating an exceptional experience for all guests • You are enthusiastic and positive, and have a professional appearance and pleasant demeanor • You have computer proficiency, including MS Office products, reporting creation and POS systems • You have a demonstrated ability to work well independently, and in a task-oriented, team environment, developing constructive and cooperative working relationships What youll do • You will assist the sales & events team in the planning and execution of weddings and group events held on property to ensure a phenomenal experience • You will conduct general site tours and tastings, providing a basic overview of event spaces, guest rooms, and resort facilities for booked groups and weddings • You will actively track various due dates and important follow up items for payments, menu and event timelines and will assist with email communications • You will help prepare and ensure the accuracy of various event documents, including group summaries, banquet event orders, event checklists and event signage and menus • You will assist in responding to inquiries, answering resort questions, and will update and maintain data for the sales & events team • As needed, you will assist in the preparation of the facility for events, and may attend wedding and events to ensure smooth communication, before during and after an event • You will support the team in billing for group events, help source and contract vendors for weddings or group events, and help coordinate the receipt of items from vendors Extra Perks!
